The entertainment center is great, however Felix who was sent from Anji's was not very nice. He was installing the shelves and I could see that he didn't have the finished edges facing outward, he was putting the shelves in backwards! I checked the manual to see if I was incorrect and it was very plain that the installer was putting the shelves in backwards! We argued over this well over 5 minutes and I even showed him the diagram of how the shelves should be and basically he told me I didn't know what I was talking about! I finally told him that I didn't care how he wanted to install the shelves, I wanted them facing to the front! He questioned me again and I said, "Just do it!" Felix wasn't happy, but finally installed it the way I wanted. He left in a hurry and I asked if he was going to clean up and he said, "No"! He left the room in a complete mess, styrofoam everywhere and multiple boxes everywhere too! Everything was great EXCEPT the installer that Anji's sent!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. This is a great cabinet however, there have been issues. The first one arrived damaged and Wayfair sent a furniture repair person to fix. It was too badly damaged and was replaced within three weeks. The second unit came in great condition, service was great however, upon further inspection, the touch-latch for the bottom drawer isn't functional. Hopefully an easy repair. Loved finding bookcases this tall (94”) and wide (40”) and was able to make my office/studio wall look like a built-in. Lucky to find wood finish close to other elements we were using. While we don’t really need the ladder function, the rod detail makes the unit look unique and we didn’t purchase a ladder. This armoire is the type of piece that brings old world charm to a modern space. I love how it brings a sense of story to the room. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it.. The stand is exactly what I was looking for to go with my Natural wood floors. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the two swinging doors are hard to open after I put my Center Speaker on the top of the unit. This is causing the wood to bend slightly and the doors are harder to open. I took off the back of the unit to provide more air flow for my receiver that sits underneath and in the middle.
