I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. But those were each 100 more so I went with these.Whereas these are mostly engineered wood I believe. Once the smell wears away, Im sure Ill be happier with them.. Carol. Longboat Key, FL. A well made piece of truly wood furniture indeed! I love my new bookcase! It is fairly tall, but works well in my primary suite with our 10’ tall ceiling. My favorite part, honestly, are the deeper than average shelves. I’m storing a mixture of some fairly large size books as well as a few LEGO sets I’ve built and it is perfect for both, all at once. Labels are incredibly valuable to an organized home, allowing you to know exactly what's in each bin within the space. These labels are attached with double pins through the bin material and can be used with our flex and handle bins as well as other bins made of fabric that can be pierced! We suggest writing on these labels with wet-erase or waterproof chalk pens. Please note that the pin backings can be choking hazards, and the pins themselves are sharp. Caution should be used around these items, and they are not suitable for children.
