To me its chic! In the photos, when taken out of the box and installed it read chic and sophisticated. My ceiling has a bit of a slant - which has proven to be tricky installing pendant lights in the past. Not so with the [Dalena] 1 cone pendant. As it is located in a high traffic area and there are several tall people that regularly traverse the area, I opted to not use the included brushed nickel rods. I tried the shorter one but it was still just a bit too long. I think with a higher ceiling I would have used the rods for sure, but it works so smartly without using the rods.
