The piece is very well made, delivery was a snap, and the images on the website did not mislead us. Some information on the specification description is confusing, i.e. is the piece pine or poplar or is it simply a black poplar wash on pine, huh Still don’t know but it feels like pine, though hard to tell due to the black color and totally opaque finish. But we had a great experience from ordering to delivery and it was seamless, the piece is beautiful, whole, undamaged, and fits perfectly. The stand is exactly what I was looking for to go with my Natural wood floors. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the two swinging doors are hard to open after I put my Center Speaker on the top of the unit. This is causing the wood to bend slightly and the doors are harder to open. I took off the back of the unit to provide more air flow for my receiver that sits underneath and in the middle. This is a great cabinet however, there have been issues. The first one arrived damaged and Wayfair sent a furniture repair person to fix. It was too badly damaged and was replaced within three weeks. The second unit came in great condition, service was great however, upon further inspection, the touch-latch for the bottom drawer isn't functional. Hopefully an easy repair. The piece ordered was a first for me, in that I ordered without having had hands on it in a physical store. Quality is the key concern. However, the ability to return was what provided enough comfort to try. The console table was exactly what I was looking for, the color in the pictures were accurate when compared to the table when it arrived. The build quality is also consistent with the pricing - no cheap hardware or particle board. Some car will be needed in maintaining the top, but I'll be following the instructions - and there will be no food or drinks on it anyway.
