This armoire is the type of piece that brings old world charm to a modern space. I love how it brings a sense of story to the room. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it.. I ordered this desk that came with white glove delivery where they carry the box to the room of your choice, assemble (if needed) and take the packaging away. The 2 delivery men carried the box to the room but refused to assemble the desk and take the packaging away, claiming they are not Wayfair and didn't have time even though they acknowledged the invoice had white glove delivery. So, I put the desk together. It basically comes in 4 parts (the top, 2 sides and lower back piece that fits into the 2 side pieces. The instructions refer to the pieces as A, B, C, and D yet the pieces are labeled random letters (R, L,...) but it's not difficult to figure out which piece goes where and it's not hard to put together IF the 2 side pieces fit but they don't so it's impossible for more than 2 screws to fit (one on each side). To compound the problem, the hole in the side of the top piece is oval and the screw is circular. The desk is unstable and unsafe, especially for a child. I've called a carpenter/handyman to come and widen the oval hole so the screw can reach the side pieces. Not happy.. New To Town. Connecticut. Mon Apr 29 2024

I think this is a good quality piece. It did however arrived damaged. Looks like it was dropped. Some pieces were broken and the top looks like someone at the factory tried to fix it. So glad I got this color instead of the darker version. I assumed it was very light from the product images but it’s actually the perfect neutral tone. We plan to put it in our new house build so for now I took the drawer to use for color matching but if anyone was curious on the true color. I have provided photos for reference.
