This armoire is the type of piece that brings old world charm to a modern space. I love how it brings a sense of story to the room. The biggest pain points for me were that it arrived with a big, jagged chip on the front leg, some odd stains on the wood in some spots that didn’t match the finish, and there were chips in finishing wax used to seal the wood that uncover an entirely different color underneath. I know the piece is intentionally designed to look vintage, but those specific elements don’t appear intentional. I did appreciate that all the doors are lockable, which wasn’t specified in the description, so that was a nice surprise, but the exterior plate covering the actual hole of the of the locking mechanism on one door doesn’t line up, so unfortunately it doesn’t lock. The doors that don’t have a key plate on the exterior do have sliding locks on the interior top and bottom. All in all, it’s truly beautiful, but not worth full price in the condition I received it.. This is a great piece of furniture. Well made and heavy construction. I was looking for something of high quality that needed no assembly and I’m glad I chose to buy this product. I would definitely recommend this. The drawers work perfectly and are very deep and spacious. The finish is more brown than cherry but it does have a slightly reddish hue. Not much though. I was nervous because I was piecing together the bedroom set with the remmy standard bed and the rosy night stands. I do regret not buying the matching night stands but only because the handles are different but other than that the finish is almost the same and looks great. The chest of drawers is very nice looking. It is a heavy piece of furniture, but the drawers arent as sturdy as I thought they should be. I can feel them wobble a bit when opening. It seems that all furniture is like this these days. The bottom drawer has a cedar lining, and the top drawer contains a velvet lining. I am happy with the purchase, but I do wish the drawers were more stable. The delivery of this piece of furniture went well, although another piece was damaged. Birch Lane took care of that situation. I must have been mistaken by thinking the purchase included white glove delivery, but it was only delivered to the room, not unpacked. It was not a problem for us to unpack and add the legs. If you like the look of this piece- I think you will be happy when delivered.. Kim. KY. Tue Feb 11 2025

It arrived with visible damage to the top of the box which left a mark on the side of the Dresser as well as a mark on one of the drawers.
