The upholstery is beige with dark gray "flecks". The nylon protectors on the bottom of the legs really grab on our wood floor and make it difficult to move the stools. The barstools were able to be put together with relative ease and speed. They seem pretty sturdy and are very comfortable. They look great at our kitchen island and complement our decor nicely. We choose the GINGER color which has no orange tones to it at all and is very neutral, but not gray or white.
