This is easily my favorite purchase from Birch Lane. It’s expensive, but after seeing it in person, I think it’s worth every penny. This is the kind of substantial, beautiful piece of furniture that you keep for years and eventually pass down. I currently use mine in the kitchen for additional storage, and it’s incredibly spacious. It holds a surprising amount while still looking like a beautiful piece of furniture rather than just a storage cabinet. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent, and it has so much character. This is a unique and beautiful weathered shabby chic/French Country piece but it is not as well-made as I would have hoped for the price. The doors don’t have anything to catch when you close them. Which is odd. It’s solid wood and really attractive though and looks good in the space by my dark brown wood table. The color is true to the website too.
