Somerton Ash, Counter Stool (27.25" Seat Height)

Get back to the basics with this understated modern stool seating. Its simple shape includes a split back design that lets the upholstery peek through. A oak frame paired with fabric brings natural tonality to the chair.

I ordered this stool in the Alcala Fawn. It is very comfortable and the color of the fabric is great for minimizing stains. However, I am not crazy about the back of the stool. It almost looks like they ran out of wood while making the chair. I would've liked the gap to have seemed more purposeful. I'm still deciding if I will keep it and order more for my kitchen island.. It's crafted from antiqued rattan wicker that's water-resistant, so holds up well to occasional spills. The saddle-like seat is set on four wicker hairpin legs and serves as a footrest, an extra surface, or a spare seat. This low-profile ottoman measures 20.75'' wide and just 15.75'' high and arrives at your door fully assembled.

I love the chair and ottoman. The chair does need a cushion, the seating does get a little uncomfortable. My business promotes comfort. It would be nice if the sticker on the back of the chair were easier to remove. It is nice to have a lightweight chair that is easy to move around for my book club meetings and fireplace enjoyment. Our Stool is crafted from salvaged wood with exposed nicks and knots to celebrate the woods organic character the clean lines and grand proportions place each piece in a thoroughly contemporary context.

Bought four and can see that the manufacturing process doesn't leave any wood to waste, as 2 of the finished pieces have parts that I think would have been thrown away in other circumstances. Basically solidly built, but the imperfections are a little high. These are so solid/heavy there is no reasonable way to return these, so be prepared for that also.. The Kid. Phila. Mon Sep 16 2024
