I plan to hang this with the light facing down since it will be in a small space with one more recessed light. It really can go either way-just depends on the direction you need your light. The white globes are super soft both in feel and in color. The brass is spot on. Light you see is natural so no colors added. It’s a classic, simple and pleasing light that would work well in a myriad of decors. I really appreciate the super packaging and quality of each component. This refreshing collection features the nostalgic detailing of scalloped metal shades with gold leaf interiors. The hand-applied gold-leaf interiors reflect the light source within the shades casting a warmer glow downwards. The collection is offered in charming chain-hung pendants, a flush mount with Opal White schoolhouse glass, or oversized sconces.

This is a beautiful light, and it fits our sunroom perfectly. The glass dome is easy to remove to access the lightbulb when needed. I will say that I was expecting the gold on the underside of the metal shade to be an even finish, but it's more rustic looking. It does say that it's a gold leaf application in the description, but you can't really see that in the sample images.. Marissa. Dallas, TX. Mon Sep 28 2026

I'm pleased with this light fixture. It replaces a 17-year old fixture in my home office. I chose the antique brass look to match the cabinet/drawer pulls in my office. Very attractive. The glass is heavy as described in other reviews. Luckily, the bulbs can be changed without taking the fixture apart. It did take 2 electricians to install. That is not a negative, just an alert for those who plan to install it themselves. It provides more light than my previous fixture. All in all, a good choice.. Judy. Northwest Ohio. Sat Apr 07 2018
