Designed by Thomas O'Brien, Vaso is a new glass urn-shaped ceiling light that takes its form from a vintage modern ceramic vase. Crafted from steel, Vaso offers a signature focal point with a single lamp suspended downward from the center. A hint of burnished brass peeks through the clear glass, becoming the fixture's central design element. Vaso pendants may be installed as single pendants or clustered in multiples, which would be an ideal installation for entry, dining room, living room, or kitchen lighting over a table. In addition to being damp-rated, the pendant can be mounted on a sloped ceiling.
A modern mix of coastal and luxe styles, the dual mount beautifully blends natural materials. The flat white painted frame is crafted of mango wood and pairs perfectly with the warm tones of the woven rattan while the matte brass finish details add a subtle touch of glamour creating a captivating contrast whether hung as a pendant or semi-flush.
In 1896, a French scientist and Turkish engineer collaborated to create a shining new glass product with a luminous appearance over its entire surface. The fixture's sparkling glass reproduces this prismatic effect, diffusing the glare of bulbs while scattering a glittering grid of light. The vintage texture of the glass is attractively enhanced by the well-defined details of fixture’s metalwork.
