Inspired by the traditional wingback chair but with an art nouveau twist. The wing's organic curved frame creates a mixed media moment with the woven seat back and flax/linen upholstery. A rope fixed to the back of the seat cushion is both functional and aesthetic, creating a more relaxed, comfortable look. A design collaboration by Amber Lewis and Four Hands.
If you have ever seen a chair without its upholstery, you will recognize the inspiration for this streamlined barrel chair. Solid oak is steam bent to create the frame, and unique cross stretchers provide additional strength. The welted box seat cushion is easily removed for reupholstery if desired, and the back throw pillow provides additional seating comfort. Try not to put this chair in a corner, as it is as handsome from the back as it is from the front!
