I originally saw this in a show room at a different store. I loved the chairs and the color. My husband surprisingly sat down in a chair and said “these are really comfortable”. I think besides the color my favorite part about this set are the chairs. They really are comfortable and my 7 year old already spilled on the seat -it did not stain. The table top has a little too much movement for my taste (the white stain they used highlights every crevice) but it’s not a deal breaker. After searching for this online I found Birch Lane to have the best price, warranty, etc. So here is why I didn’t give it 5 stars and it has more to do with the manufacturer & not Birch Lane. For the record, every BL customer service rep we talked to was amazing, patient & understanding. When they first delivered the table it had a weird bump on it that was pretty big. We ordered ann additional 4 chairs that needed to be assembled, however the delivery people quickly realized there were no holes to assemble the chairs. The table comes with 2 chairs that were already assembled. My husband didn’t notice until I came home that one of the seats had been put on backwards. You could definitely tell because it makes the seat much shorter sticking out in the back, not as comfortable to sit on. Birch Lane immediately ordered replacements & got in touch with the manufacturer about the chair, the manufacturer’s solution was to send me a pdf file on how to assemble the chair. The chair has wood buttons that go into the holes in the back and I didn’t want to attempt to remove them because it would gouge the wood. It never got resolved and I spent a day working on it and finally fixed it myself -not easy if you care about damaging it. When the replacement table & chairs were delivered all 4 chairs were missing those wood buttons (they definitely make the chair look complete). The last issue was a gouge in the wood on a chair, BL refunded part of the chair and we decided to just live with it. I felt like we wasted so much time on this set that I was tempted just to cancel everything because of the frustrating experience. We have a busy family and time is a commodity in our home - so part of me just wanted to forget it. After everything is said and done, do I love this set…absolutely! The Kamber table is stunning. I am very happy with that part of the purchase. However, I would not recommend selling these chairs with the table as a set. The wood stain on the legs of the chairs does not at all match the wood grain of the table legs and edges. I have reached out to Birch Lane to request an exchange on the chairs.
