Excellent product design and good footprint for back of a kitchen counter. Only complaint is plastic hinges on the lid are not robust enough for repeated use. Manufacturer was good to work with and replaced under warranty.

This little gem is exactly what I needed to fit in a small space between my bed and nightstand; just perfect! And as silly as it sounds because its a trashcan, it is so well constructed, modern, and sleek! They thought of everything!! It's great!!!

I had gone through a couple of no lid type compost bins. I dislike those ones because it sits bulky on my countertop causing a bad smell fruit flies. When I saw the SH bin, I immediately love the look. I have been using it for close to 2 yrs now. I like that its out of sight when I don’t need to use it and no smell was the most I liked about this bin. Yes, fruit flies still forms but its contained. I bought a fruit fly trapper to help.

Now this is a great buy!!! Well worth the money!!! I got the white finish to match my kitchen and I cant say enough good about the item. The product is superb quality and the manufacturer was quite generous. They included 30 biodegradable liners that fit perfectly, and also a magnetic bracket that can be used on a Simplehuman floor model trash can...which I will later order. The packaging was excellent. When I opened the box I found the can was enclosed in a dust cover...much like a ladies high end handbag. Immediately it got my attention. I purchased this for my countertop but its good to know I can move it if I change my mind. The removable basket makes ease for cleaning and the stay open lid option is nice. It isnt obviously large and looks great in my kitchen. Ive looked at alot of countertop compost bins but this was beyond my expectations. Glad I spent the extra because it is well worth it!
