That’s always something important to check. These are rated for up to 200 lbs. the fabric is a nice, deep green and a true velvet. Nice and soft. What I did was use a drill and then finished the remainder with a Phillips head screwdriver. The craftsmanship was very good although the cross brace pieces do not fit 100% flush but very acceptable. The seat cushion is well made and very comfortable. My cushions are the white version and they are very white. I use a towel as I want to keep them that way. The step by step instructions are clear and once you’ve don’t one then the rest assemble much quicker. The legs are all the exact same length so there is solid contact with the floor surface. I recommend removing the plastic floor protectors and use a felt version as not to mar your hardwood floors. The height of the cushion is perfect and very comfortable although the back of the chair is curved, it’s just the right amount.
