Loved finding bookcases this tall (94”) and wide (40”) and was able to make my office/studio wall look like a built-in. Lucky to find wood finish close to other elements we were using. While we don’t really need the ladder function, the rod detail makes the unit look unique and we didn’t purchase a ladder. A wall anchor was provided with each shelf, but we purchased more substantial ones because they are heavy pieces.. David. Orlando, FL. Sun Feb 16 2025

Bring timeless warmth and function to your home with this tall bookcase. Crafted from a blend of solid and engineered wood, it features a natural oak finish with a light glaze that highlights the wood grain. Five spacious shelves offer ample room for books and decorative items, while the lower cabinet with bar-pull hardware provides concealed storage. The clean-lined silhouette and subtle molding details lend a classic touch, making it a versatile addition to any room. We love that it arrives fully assembled for immediate use.

I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. But those were each 100 more so I went with these.Whereas these are mostly engineered wood I believe. Once the smell wears away, Im sure Ill be happier with them.. Carol. Longboat Key, FL. Whether placed in a living area or a study, this bookcase effortlessly blends with various decor styles, offering a sophisticated solution for organizing your cherished items.

I ordered this because I needed a nice substantial (tall) piece for my library. The quality is very good; it's super solidly made. I will say though that upon opening it, the smell was completely overwhelming. I was not sure why it smelled so strongly of something I might equate to like fresh asphalt maybe, but it did. I was worried that it might not dissipate and if it didn't I would have to return it. It has been in my garage for about 3 weeks though (it's for a new house we are moving into in a couple months. And I have been leaving the garage door open a few feet several days a week to give it plenty of air, and I'm happy to report that that smell is maybe 10% of what it originally was. It seems as though by the time we move and put it in our house it will have stopped smelling completely, but it is something to note as it's worrying when you first get it.. Sarah. Wrentham, MA.
