I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this island. I did contract to have it assembled so I cannot a test to the ease or difficulties to assemble. However,I can say that the gentleman assembling the island made several comments on the quality. I have purchased a very large cutting board that will remain on the island to avoid any unnecessary damage to the stainless steel.We have downsized into a condo and I felt I needed a bit more prep space and this is perfect. Amazing, solid farmhouse-style island. The crates are spacious and the drawers although short are handy as well. The bottom rack is also full of space even though it's only half of the island to make room for seating on the other side. It's very heavy but super movable with the wheels. The hooks and towel rack on the side are also a bonus! It's a beautiful antique white-washed wood color. It's rustic and beautiful. Well worth it.
