Very solid frame. The biggest issue we had was not being aware that this bed needed a box frame. I assumed it came with slats to support the mattress, but was told that was not the case after contacting customer service about the issue. After having the frame for a month or so we have noticed a couple spots where the wood is splitting, but it's nothing that is deteriorating the sturdiness of the product. It arrived within 2 days of purchase. The assembly instructions were fairly easy to understand. Tip- to be successful, you will need a power drill to put attach the bed slats to the frame. Assembly mentions a screwdriver but honestly it will take you days if you did that. We bought an 8 inch thick mattress for the trundle and a 10 inch for the top. Both fit perfectly. It is larger than I thought but looked quite nice once it was set up. I used twin sheets and comforter and it fit nicely. Overall, very pleased with the purchase for our guest room. Pattie. The bed arrived ahead of schedule and I really like the shade of white and the overall look. The assembly, which we did ourselves was tricky…and my husband is very handy. The hardware was tough to align (it took us an hour or more to get the left side board to latch in correctly to the headboard), the pre-drilled holes on the feet did not match the diagram and the screws that were supplied for securing the wood slats were so long they would have dangerously protruded underneath the bed (we switched those). I purchased a sage green. I was surprised at the style of the bed because the headboard and footboard profiles were thicker than predicted on the picture. From the image, the headboard appeared a bit more sleeper as well as the footboard. Overall, the bed is solid and has been performing well. I use a 12 inch foam mattress. But after a few days, I decided to use the 5” box spring that I purchased to use for this unit. The style and comfort is great. The box spring allow the foam mattress to perform so much better. The mattress height isn’t low. It’s like a standard bed. If you want an If you want a lower profile bed, the boxspring is not required. Overall I’m satisfied. I wish the images aligned more with the product. Delivery and set up was great. There is flexibility with changing the set up date to meet the delivery date.
