I normally don't write reviews but for this I feel it is necessary and may help others. The quality of this sofa, in materials and construction is MUCH worse that I was expecting. Because this sofa is sold across all Wayfair brands, including Joss & Main and Birch Lane, I expected the quality to be much better than it was. I was replacing a slipcovered sofa bed from Mitchell Gold that had lasted me 15 years, and was really replacing because I needed a new slipcover that would have to be custom made. So, I purchased the Cotton Spinnsol White Slipcover. First, this is very thin. It feels like it's made in China. It's semitransparent, and the cushions inside the slipcovers are a different color and have excess material, so when look at the seat and back cushions they look permanently wrinkled because you can see through the fabric. Feathers CONSTANTLY poke through and fall out everywhere when you remove and wash the covers. I also ordered a swatch prior to purchasing. The slipcover also arrived with two small cuts in the fabric. Further you cannot smooth out the undercushion cover bc there is too much fabric, but if you wash it do not dry it in the dryer, it WILL SHRINK even on low heat. It also smelled like a wet dog for the first several weeks. Second, the frame on this and overall construction of the sofa bed components, is very cheap and broke within 6 months. There is a very small 1/8th inch shim that holds the mattress portion up and that broke. I am small, athletic single woman using this sofa. Now every time I sit on it, it groans and sounds like it is going to break further. I have had to put a 2" foam piece between the mattress and cushions now for extra support. Just really cheap. Finally the proportions are not comfortable for a small person, especially when coupled with little support. It is as if Shrek were a sofa. Also, it came dirty in several places, including the mattress, which seemed impossible to do because it was wrapped in plastic. Not sure if this was someone else's return or what. I would not recommend this sofa. Pay the additional $1000 to $1500 for a better quality piece. Wayfair DID fully refund me for this though so I appreciate that and the customer service greatly.
