Naugatuck Wood Bench

Beautiful and easy to put together!

I am returning this bench even though the photos looked like the exact product we were seeking. The problem lies with the “solid wood” and its finish. The seat is made of many 3-6” pieces of 2.5” acacia wood that have been glued together..and then to camouflage the cut edges (I suppose) they add deep scratches to the entire surface. This makes it look unlike wood and more like some ersatz version of plastic wood. To me it was extremely ugly and nothing like the photo on the website where the bench top appeared to be one solid piece of wood (veneer is fine) with a normal wood finish. Too bad because it was the perfect style and size.

This bench was super easy to assemble and looks great! We haven't sat on it yet but it seems very sturdy as well. The wood grain goes well with my wood floors.

Functional/sturdy bench. This bench is sturdy, a good height for dining/kitchen table, and good depth for sitting. It was also easy to put together. I have only been using it for a week or so but feels much sturdier & more comfortable than the bench I replaced. Looks as is it does in the photo.
