Do not buy this bed and also stay away from Birch Lane as a whole. They are cheats and the whole thing is a scam. Less than 6 months after I got it one of my friends sat on the end of it and it broke straight through. I reached out to customer service since there was a warranty and it was still under warranty and they told me that since I had done the white glove delivery and installation, the warranty was voided. I searched and searched and couldn’t find that noted anywhere. Still can’t. It’s all a scam and they will do anything get out of replacing or refunding. So now my bed is being held up by bricks because Birch Lane is a scam, full of liars and cheats.

Do NOT buy this bed. I never leave reviews but trying to save other people from this headache. Though it is a beautiful bed, there is no center support bar. There are only center support legs on 3 of the slats, which is completely inadequate. When you sit on the bed (and even just the weight of the mattress + bedding) makes all 11 slats that don't have support legs bow downward and the mattress sinks down. You can't even add a center support bar yourself because headboard doesn't extend far enough down. And then they charge you almost $300 if you want to return it. Not structurally sound they shouldn't even be selling this.

Fabulous bed and design. Heavy and well made. Buy it!
