Great desk! It works in my area. The back of the desk is finished. There were some complaints that it wasn’t. The material feels a bit plasticky, but for the price I’m not going to complain.

The Monica desk is as shown and described. This is a really nice pine desk that is very sturdy and easy to put together. Took two people about 20 minutes start to finish to assemble.

After extensive searches, I landed on the Modica desk as it was one of a few without a foot piece or back. Once on sale it fit in both the style & price points I was after. Sadly, one side doesn’t line up with the seams like the other, but is a minor concern given investment, quality of materials, and overall feel. I’d recommend Birch Lane or this desk to anyone.
