I am fine with the imitation wood look. its in our entry way so I hope with high traffic thay means its less likely to get scratched. I wish the knobs were bronze on the blue model. I couldn't tell from the picture but they arrived bright gold. easy to assemble but a little heavy. I did it by myself in 30 minutes but I am fairly capable perso..
