At first I was really impressed with the quality of this book shelf, it is a SOLID piece of wood. But then I started to notice the shelves sagging in the middle, even with absolutely nothing on them. It seems like the width of the piece is just too large to accommodate such long shelves with no support other than at either end. It just looks sloppy, which is a shame bc other than the shelving it is a beautiful stately piece.
