Fitzgerald Standard Bookcase

I am mostly pleased with these, considering the price. They arrived in perfect condition and look exactly as pictured. They blend well with the other wood colors and style in my living room. However I had hoped the wood would look more like real oak. The white glaze is much heavier than you can see on the photo, and it still retains a very strong smell. The white glaze is overdone, in my opinion, and makes the piece look like really fake wood, which I guess it is. I kind of wished I had ordered the very similar bookshelves without a back (made by a different manufacturer) because it doesnt say it has the glaze and also says it is made of oak and rubber wood. But those were each 100 more so I went with these.Whereas these are mostly engineered wood I believe. Once the smell wears away, Im sure Ill be happier with them.

Absolutely perfect in every way. I bought this shelf to sit in the middle of two Fitzgerald standard bookcases and all three are aligned on one wall. It looks like one piece of furniture. The quality of the product is superior and the color is so attractive.

I ordered 4 items, and overall I’m really happy with them — they’re beautiful and the quality is excellent. The only issue was that one of them came in the wrong color. They promised to replace it, and I sent several follow-up emails with photos, but they never replied or even opened my messages. What’s more frustrating is that when the delivery was made, the delivery guys took photos themselves, and it was clear to everyone that the colors didn’t match. It’s a shame, because the products are great — this was our only problem, but it still hasn’t been resolved.
