Love this bed and all of the storage space! The color is more of an oatmeal not cream. It took about an hour to assemble by three professionals. There is an upholstery cover that covers the entire bed - headboard and sides. But it’s upholstered underneath so you could decide not to use it, if you wanted. We bought the classic navy linen in the platform bed for our son’s room. It was delivered quickly and the assembly crew came promptly the next morning. It is perfect! Looks high end and expensive!
