The colors are a rich, dark cherry, which I expected from previous reviews. The drawers are somewhat flimsy, as I also knew beforehand. The bottom two drawers are spacious and quite tall. The piece is beautiful, solid and sleek. The backing is not solid wood, but, a stapled board. The drawers glide well on their track. Overall, I am happy with my purchase, and expect that it will serve me well for years to come.
