I love the design and it is very sturdy, but the distress marks on the seat look more like defects. I almost sent it back, but I needed the chair for a guest visiting. I use a seat cushion, but it is still disturbing. And the front of the seat is uneven, although not sharp, but makes it uncomfortable on a bare leg or stocking.
