Well-protected shipping box, easy to assemble for competent DIYers (recommend a drill to properly torque screws, but hand-tightening works), no excess stain, no discernible chemical smell so common to mass-produced furniture. Docked it a star because the finish was darker and more rustic than shown in the listing, and the drawer is just a little janky to close all the way (to be clear, I did not detect any mechanical / installation issues with drawer, it just appears to be a design issue).
