Callahan Upholstered Bed

We are overall happy with our purchase, however I've knocked off a star because I want buyers to beware of the slats. They are not the typical 2.5in apart slats, but rather a grid of fewer slats/planks. See photo attached. I'm pointing this out because our new mattress's warranty is only effective if the bed is sitting on slats that are 2.5in apart or less, and so we ended up having to purchase and cut 2 separate pieces of plywood and place them on top of the grid to brings things "up to code," for lack of a better term. Aside from this note, I'm very happy with the bed so far. The green chenille fabric is lovely, and it seems very sturdy and well made. Note that the bedframe itself hovers about 1.5 inches above the ground (I couldn't find this measurement easily when assessing the product info), so if you're wearing open toed shoes around your bed, you may stub your toes (it's taking me some getting used to, as our old bed sat at least 8in off the ground). The headboard has some padding, however I'm sure it would get uncomfortable if I leaned against it for a long amount of time, but that's what pillows are for!

Beautiful bed, the tan color is slightly darker than in the photos, and looks more beige-brown vs caramel. Very easy to assemble.

Do NOT order this bed - it is made from a wholesale distributor, who sells for much cheaper, and when your order is messed up, Birch Lane customer service offered ZERO help. DO NOT ORDER!!!!!! Headboard is the only thing that arrived, again, NO idea where the actual bed we ordered is, or if it is even coming

Ordered 2 of these beds and they are beautiful! Well made, solid construction!

I love it The mattress is soooo comfortable
