It has always amazed me how some products can get a 5 star rating and also 1 star ratings. I am now learning that you should trust the 1 star ratings. In person, this product looks nothing like the one in the web site photos, to the point it's almost false advertising. For one thing, the brackets holding up the shelves are definitely different, as you may see in my attached. The color is also different. What is most bothersome is the shape: it is not rectangular but actually trapezoidal. In particular, there are multiple issues with the alignment of the shelves. First, the distance between the front legs and the front of the shelves is much wider than the distance between the back legs and the back of the shelves. As you can see in the photos, the back is flush, but there is a big gap in the front. Second, the gap in the front, between the legs and the shelves, is not uniform but uneven. In other words, the left side and the right side have different spaced gaps, and these gaps differ in width from level to level. Finally, the brackets on which the shelves sit are bent at different angles--it's not clear they are even attached at the same level. Hence, the shelves wobble. I would not recommend this product.

I like the colors of the shelving unit but ours came broken. Too much hassle to return so I will find a way to make it work. The bottom shelf is supposed to be attached by tiny little hinges and our shelf was broken off one of the hinges. I would say it’s not the sturdiest or best made product.
