This bed does not look like this in person. It’s not dark wood, it’s scuffed and weathered. More farmhouse style. It also washed together poorly and had lots of gaps and glue sticking out all over. It is not true to pictures and was returned

If I could give this zero stars I would have. This bed felt solid when it was first assembled in January 2024 and we were very happy with the look. It is made of solid wood and manufactured wood. Unfortunately it appears where they decided to use manufactured wood is on the support rails that hold up your bed. Buyer beware. Within 6-8 months of normal wear and tear, the sideboards cracked and one completely broke (see photos). We unfortunately did not buy the 5 year protection plan so even though it is clearly a manufacturer defect, they wouldn't assist us. I was instructed instead to contact the manufacturer CastleGate Home Styles. We are normal size people (I weigh 200lbs and my wife is much smaller and more petite than I). This appears to be a very common problem so read through the reviews (I didn't) and don't trust the star rating! If you are going to buy this bed, or anything else from BirchLane (Wayfair) buy the protection plan, or better yet spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I love the look of this bed. But, I’ve had it for 6 months and it’s cracking between the balls and along the bottom rail.

Arrived broken and several replacements had to be sent

ordered in white - sturdy, solid, well built. Needs 2 people to put together. Love how it looks in my home.
