Appleton Ladder Back Side Chair (Set of 2)

I got these for the Fahey extendable table and they match great! The seats are wide with a nice cushion. Just got them today, put them together, so haven't used them yet. Will update if any issues noted.

Beautiful chair. It’s a very light wood color almost a blonde tone in person. It leans as little yellow. It did come with a couple of scrapes on it, but other than that it’s solid wood and looks great!

Really sturdy chairs, comfortable and match nicely with table. Wide seat, firm cushion. Fairly easy to put together.

Could not screw in screws properly to attach the legs.

The customer service was great. One of our chairs arrived slightly broken and another chair was sent immediately. The color does look slightly different from what is shown in the picture. In real life, the color is more of a dirty wood vibe, its not bad, its just not as clean as it looks in the picture.

Bad QC. I bought 6 of these chairs and 4 them don't fit together properly. The two that were manufactured correctly are great. They look very nice and just as advertised. The seat is large, comfortable, and has a firm cushion. Structure of the chair is rock solid and feels like its going to last a long time. I'm very satisfied with these two. However, most of the chairs I received do not fit together properly. Three of the four chairs have one screw hole, the same screw hole, that is off by about 1/2 inch. The provided bolt cannot be installed as is. I was able to fix it by expanding the hole, but such alterations should not be necessary. One of the four chairs is completely misaligned. None of the 6 screw holes on the base of the chair line up and the seat is completely off center from the back. I have not yet had the time to mess with this one but I have a feeling I will not be able to fix it. Its a real shame that spending $1,400 on wood chairs is not enough to decent quality control.

Listen - I'm rating these well bcs they're super sturdy as advertised and pretty great quality too. The seat is biiigggg in a good way if you have heavyset family members like me. Now, that said, if you're not a coordinated individual these are going to be very hard to put together. Like if I told my husband to do this, he would have failed. All 6 screws for the back and seat need to get screwed in at the same time, a few turns at a time, or nothing will line up. You will need a real screwdriver because the little wrench that comes with the hardware is useless. Expect 20 mins/chair even after you get into a groove.
