Our new clock just arrived after our old one bit the dust, so this review will not cover durability. The clock appears to be made of quality materials. My wife likes it better than the old one, which we had for years. It hangs from a clip on the upper back which is a better arrangement than our old, similar sized and weighted clock which hung from a clip attached to the clock mechanism (which is why it probably broke eventually)..
