This ceramic jar is a very eye-catching item that adds a lot of elegance to our dining room. We have placed it in the middle of the table, where it really sets the tone for the rest of the room. The colors are various shades of blue, all very crisp and well-defined, that repeat around the entirety of the jar. There is no “front or back of the jar” -- i.e., the item is not decorated differently in the front or in the back. It can be admired equally from any direction. The flowers are among the prettiest we have seen on a jar of this type, especially thanks to the very detailed depiction of a dozen Asian chrysanthemums, all in full bloom. With smaller blooms between them, the result is one of great liveliness and movement. I dare anyone to walk by without noticing it. A removable cap, also decorated with flowers, covers the opening of the jar. The cap can be put away and the jar used to display fresh or dried flowers. I also like these types of unique items for the possibility of stashing various small household items, such as extra car keys or coins. This jar arrived well-packed and in perfect condition.
