I purchased this to stop a slippery top sheet from sliding around and additional warmth. Concerning other reviews I think I can set the record straight when I say this wool blanket is both soft AND slightly itchy. Its the nature of the beast. Wool is a natural fabric, breathable and environmentally sound but not cashmere soft. Having said that I was very aware of "itchy bothersome skin" which did happen a few times but as the night went on it became a non issue. The sheet stayed put so the blanket is a win. Two Thumbs up. *Remember to never machine wash wool or your queen size blanket will become your new dog blanket.
