Like any good wool, it's light but warm. This blanket is breathable so it holds heat without making us sweaty. The size is wonderful on our queen bed. It's soft. Because it's so comfortable, my husband doesn't wrangle the blankets leaving me with none. The satin edges are rich looking and nice on each edge since the queen blanket is a square. The blue doesn't look like the picture at all. It's more of a steel blue, on the gray side. It's actually nicer than shown. Plus, I'm asleep when I'm using it. So, it's good.
