I love this more than I thought I would. I'm replacing an older, 13 lb, comforter that I've had forever but is starting to fall apart. I live in New Hampshire so a warm comforter is a must for me. I got this yesterday and had it on my bed all night (it's December), I was warm and slept very well. It does have a satin-like, slightly textured, backing and I was afraid it might slide off the bed during the night but it didn't, this morning it was in the exact spot it was when I put it on yesterday.

I love this blanket. The fabric on top is so soft and feels so comfortable when watching tv or reading from the bed. The weight of the blanket makes me feel like swaddled. I plan to buy another one for the guest bedroom.
