Kingston's carrara marble tops are polished, but they are not sealed. Polished marble has a shiny surface and resists stains. Even when polished, natural stone is still somewhat porous and remains susceptible to etching by acidic compounds like fruit juice, vinegar, some cleaning solvents, etc. The marble can be sealed for customers who wish to protect their investment further.
