It’s nice aesthetically. The creaking mentioned in other reviews is absolutely true & absolutely horrendous. It’s gotten worse over time. I logged into this account 2 years later to expressly state that . This would otherwise be a rocking chair that’s worth having & could stand the test of time. But the noise makes it obsolete for the purposes of rocking children to sleep. In this economy, can’t afford to spend such big $ & not get a decent return on investment.
