It is distressed enough to wear well, but it isn't so distressed that it look overly farmhouse. I'm very happy with this table overall! The color is exactly as pictured online, which was one of my biggest concerns when ordering. It feels incredibly sturdy, solid, and well made, and you can tell it's a quality piece of furniture. My only minor concern is with the extension leaf. When it's installed, it isn't perfectly flush with the rest of the tabletop, leaving a slight seam. I can see crumbs or small debris collecting there over time, although it's nothing that can't be easily cleaned. Overall, it's a beautiful, high-quality table, and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
