This is incredibly soft and has a nice, tight weave. I have previously owned a cheap (less than 10) pure polyester pillowcase and while there’s not a significant visual difference, there is a noticeable texture difference. I just received this set, so I haven't slept on it, yet. It wasn't as soft as I'd hoped upon opening it. I've washed it, so I'm hoping that will make a difference. I washed it on cold and dried on low. Fingers crossed that it didn't shrink. Funny thing is, that I received an extra pillow cases with horses on it. That doesn't match the set, but it's nice; LOL..
