I love my new desk! It's very sturdy & the side drawers are huge and could fit my laptop but for now holds a binder and 2 notebooks. They're lined with brown velvet (side drawers) and all 3 drawers glide very smoothly. The color is a medium gray/brown with some black and white mixed in & has a slight rustic quality as it's not entirely smooth but has some texture to it. My office is only 105" wide and this desk fits nicely centered in the room. My only wish is that it had a couple grommet holes to hide the wires but that's an inexpensive DIY and since the side drawer is big enough to hide my laptop, I might tuck that away in there also.
