Venice Solid Wood & Metal Floating Shelf

This is a high quality shelf and the wood grain is beautiful. It’s solid wood and you can tell it by looking. The hardware is heavy duty and the instructions are clear. You definitely want a shelf that will mount securely and give you confidence to place delicate items and this is that shelf. It might be slightly pricier than others but the quality is worth it. H W London never disappoints. Also, it’s packaged to withstand a hurricane so you can know it will arrive in perfect condition. (Picture taken in only natural light)

I needed a very specific minimalist shelf to display a sculpture I purchased. I wanted a true floating shelf, but the weight capacity of the shelves I was considering gave me pause. So, I purchased this one, which as other reviewers have noted is not a true "floating shelf" due to the exposed pipe brackets, and I am not disappointed. The extra support that the brackets provide gives me peace of mind for the art piece that is displayed on the shelf, and the industrial look in black finish ties in to some of the hardware on our barn door (also purchased from Wayfair). The instruction booklet is very easy to understand, "dumbed-down" for someone not gadget-y. I just wish that the booklet would've noted the size of the screws and wall anchors; that is helpful when you're selecting the size of the drill bit.

Love this stylist shelf. The slim design looks elevated and it's the perfect place to add some decor.
